Welcome to St Nicholas C of E Primary School - tour

We have put together a short video tour which prospective parents and children will find a useful resource to find out more about our wonderful school.

Admissions information

Children can start school (Reception) in the September after their fourth  birthday. You can apply for a place from September in the year before your child turns 4 years of age.

If your child was born between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021, you must apply for their Reception place by 15 January 2025 (5pm). If you live in Warwickshire apply online directly to Warwickshire Admissions.

If you live in Worcestershire you will need to apply to www.worcestershire.gov.uk for a Warwickshire County school.

We have two classes in each year group therefore the School’s Pupil Admission Number for each year group is 60.  Arden Forest MAT is the admission authority for all schools within the Trust and is responsible for determining our Admission Policy.  On behalf of the Academy the admissions process is coordinated by Warwickshire County Council.

If more than 60 children apply, places will be allocated by Warwickshire Admissions with regard to our oversubscription criteria. Warwickshire Admissions website has a helpful map which allows you to see if you live in our Priority Area.

Parents with children who are already of school age should view the information provided by Warwickshire regarding moving schools within the school year.

An application can be made for a place for a child if you are new to the area or thinking of moving schools and the child will be admitted where there are available spaces. If you would like to arrange a school tour with our Head of School or Assistant Head please contact the school office on 01789 762 578.

Where there are places available but there is a waiting list, the published oversubscription criteria, as set out in the admission policy will be applied. Parents are advised to read the admission arrangements carefully before making their application.

If there are no places available, the local authority will notify you of this decision and the child will be added to the waiting list.

You have the right to appeal to an independent appeal panel if your application is unsuccessful.

If you have any questions in relation to in-year admissions please contact the school on 01789 762 578. You may also wish to discuss in-year applications with the local authority 01926 414 143.
