Activity Clubs & Instrumental Music Tuition

Payments for clubs can be booked and paid on our Childcare Online Booking page which enables parents to manage bookings for their children’s wraparound and after school club care and to make bookings and cancellations (in line with our terms and conditions).

If you are paying by card you can pay for Activity Clubs and Wraparound Care at the same time with one basket transaction.

Please note that there is a need to limit the numbers of children attending each club. This may mean that your child will not automatically gain a space in a popular club session.  You can book a session at any time prior to the course of sessions as long as there is availability showing online for the club.

Our Activity Clubs for Summer term 2025 are detailed below.

Musical extra curricular opportunities

IMS Music Lessons at St Nicholas Primary School

New Starters - September 2024 (Existing students do not need to reapply)

We have a few spaces for children in Y3 and above to start music lessons in September. Lessons take place during the school day. Learning an instrument gives children a special skill which helps develop their confidence, self-esteem and individuality. It also boosts cognitive thinking and overall academic achievement.

We are offering the choice of Drums, Guitar, Keyboard, Classical Piano (Individual Lessons Only), Recorder, Clarinet (Y4+), Flute (Y4+) and Saxophone (Y5+). Shared lessons (£6pw) are ideal for beginners but we also offer 20 minute individual lessons (£13.50pw) for those who are already underway and would like more time. We have clarinets, flutes & saxophones available for hire for £17 per term (equivalent to £1pw!).

In the unlikely event that we are oversubscribed priority will be given to the oldest children. All our instrumental lessons are delivered by music specialists.  Lessons are conducted during the school day and the children’s time slot is rotated each week so that they do not miss the same lesson in class.

Independent Music Solutions provide tuition in a wide range of instruments and you can find further information and enrol on their website. DC Music provide Violin lessons and further information can be found in the letter below.
