What an incredible performance from the St Nicholas swim team yesterday at the Evesham Swimming Club Gala, held at Evesham Leisure Centre! 🏊‍♂️

To come away with an outstanding 2nd place overall is a fantastic achievement and a true reflection of the effort and commitment shown by every single swimmer.

    Our individual results were brilliant:
    🥇 3 first-place finishes
    🥈 8 second-place finishes
    🥉 3 third-place finishes
    🏅 4 fourth-place finishes

Both of our relay teams were simply outstanding, each finishing 2nd by the narrowest of margins – literally a fingertip!

A special mention goes to our four star 🌟 swimmers, who had the amazing opportunity to take part in a fun race against national and regional competitive swimmers. With a head start, they gave it everything and represented the school with pride.

Most importantly, every child showed incredible determination, perseverance, and team spirit throughout the gala. You should all be extremely proud of yourselves – a brilliant day all round!

Thank You – SATS & SAUSAGES!

A huge thank you to all of our Year 6 families who joined us for our first ever SATS & Sausages Quiz Night! It was a truly fantastic evening, filled with laughter, teamwork and brilliant effort from everyone involved.

We were so impressed with how enthusiastically everyone took part, from tackling the SATS-style questions to getting stuck into the sausage rounds! It was wonderful to see families working together and supporting one another throughout the evening with some brilliant moments where parents even went head-to-head with their children to see who really knew their Year 6 learning best!

A special thank you goes to our amazing kitchen team, who kept everyone well-fed with delicious sausage baps (finger rolls), and to all of our brilliant families, whose teamwork, determination and sense of fun made the evening such a success.

A big congratulations as well to our winning team, who claimed the Sausage Trophy in a nail-biting finish on the tie-break question. A very impressive victory!

We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

    Lyfta Easter Competition

We are excited to launch our Lyfta Easter Competition! Children are invited to explore how Easter is celebrated around the world by creating a piece of artwork or poster inspired by a tradition from another country.

For example, kite flying in Bermuda and decorated palms in Poland.

We would like children to reflect on what this symbolises and why it is an important tradition. There will be prizes for winners in each phase, so we encourage everyone to get involved and be creative!

Entries are to be handed to Miss Jones by Friday 17th April.

Good luck to all who take part – we can’t wait to see your egg-cellent entries!

  • Digger donations

Exciting new additions for our Diggers Club!

We are incredibly grateful to Alcester Connected for Climate and Nature for their generous donation of a wildlife camera and a solar-powered water pump. The children were thrilled to receive these fantastic resources which will help them learn even more about sustainability, conservation and the natural world.

The wildlife camera will allow us to observe the amazing creatures that visit our school grounds, while the solar pump will support our environmentally friendly gardening projects.

Thank you for supporting our young environmentalists and helping us inspire the next generation to care for our planet!

Thu 19 Mar 2026 Laura Newell

Our Year 5 pupils delivered a wonderful Easter service this week, sharing a confident and thoughtful retelling of the Easter story. We were so proud of their clear speaking, beautiful singing and the respect they showed throughout.

A huge thank you to our dedicated staff team for supporting the children so well in preparing for the service, and to our church for hosting us so warmly. A lovely way to reflect on this special time of year – well done Year 5!

  • Glow Dodgeball

Glow Dodgeball – It finally happened!

After being all dressed up and nowhere to glow a few weeks ago (we’re sure many of you saw Mr Woodcock’s glow dodgeball disappointment! 😄), we were thrilled that the event finally went ahead – and it was absolutely worth the wait!

The children had a fantastic time taking part, showing great teamwork, energy and sportsmanship throughout a brilliant evening of glow-in-the-dark fun. We think it’s safe to say Mr Woodcock was very pleased it finally happened!

A huge thank you to Mrs Dawson for organising such a fun event and to everyone who helped make it such a success.
