Attendance

It is very important that children attend school regularly. We are required to keep and monitor records of attendance, absence and lateness. When children are away from school please mark them as absent on Studybugs. Wherever possible, medical appointments should be made outside of the school day.

Regular attendance at school means that your child can make the most of their education, settle in at school and make and develop friendships.

In particular, it is important that you don’t take holidays in term time as it disrupts your child’s learning.

Attendance also includes late arrivals or early departures.  These all have a significant effect on your child's learning and how they settle into class and understand what is happening in lessons every day.

School starts at 8.45am and gates close promptly.  Children can be brought in to school and signed in at the office if running late.

For more information please see our Attendance Policy.
