Friends of St Nicholas

We have a very active Friends Committee within the school and encourage all families to get involved.

The events we hold are for the sole purpose of raising money for school projects (such as school sports kits, outdoor equipment, Christmas and Easter gifts, books and exciting enriching opportunities, IT and playground equipment). They are successful due to the generous help of parents, carers and family members throughout the school.

Our meetings are currently held on zoom and are about once a term.

School events, which are provided by the Friends, are currently a little different due to Covid restrictions but we are continuing to keep events running if we can do so safely.  Over the past couple of years, we have done themed trails around Alcester, provided Christmas gifts, had a Christmas grotto, a poetry and illustration competition, Christmas cards, fairs, tea towels, Santa run, mother’s and Father’s Day gifts amongst other things.  Obviously, we hope to return to some normality soon with more face to face events but we remain cautious and will always ensure we do this safely.

We do have volunteers who are unable to attend meetings but help support the fundraising activities in other ways. If you can spare any time and are interested in participating in the activities, have any ideas, donation of items to sell, or would like to be kept up to date on events by being on the mailing list, please sign up to receive updates on the PTA Events page  or get in touch with a member of the Friends committee.
