Caretaker

 

15-25 hours a week Monday – Friday.

We can be highly flexible around timings to suit the right candidate.

Salary Scale NJC 5-6 (Band E)

FTE £23,500 - £23,893 (this will be pro-rated based on the hours)

 

St Nicholas C of E Primary School is seeking to employ a Caretaker/Site Supervisor who will take pride in our fabulous school and would like to join our enthusiastic and dedicated team in Alcester.

 

Within this role, the successful candidate will carry out a programme of maintenance of the school; respond to ad hoc maintenance needs; conduct testing of security and water systems; maintain the swimming pool; lead the team of cleaners and work both independently and as part of a team to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

 

Relevant experience as a caretaker or applicants with a maintenance background would be an advantage. We are seeking someone with an eye for detail, a background in maintenance, health and safety or facilities management would be an advantage but not essential.

1 to 1 Teaching Assistant (TA2)

 

Fixed Term attached to a specific child due to SEN funding until 11th April 2025 (or until child leaves)

 

27.5 hours a week Monday to Friday. The post holder will be required to work from 8.45 till 15.15

 

Salary Scale Band F – 7-11 - FTE £24,294 - £25,979

 

St Nicholas C of E Primary School is seeking to employ a part time (27.5 hours) Teaching Assistant to join its enthusiastic and dedicated team. The role involves providing support and working one to one with a KS1 child with SEN. The individual taking on this role will need to be highly motivated, calm, patient and able to adapt quickly to different situations.

Key Requirements

  • Hold a recognised and relevant NVQ level 2 qualification and have undertaken other appropriate training (preferably leading to national standards at NVQ level 3) or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, experience and skills.
  • Minimum GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths at grades A-C
  • Have good communication and listening skills and be able to present information verbally and in writing to others.
  • Have experience of TA work.
  • Understand special educational needs and have previous experience working with children with additional needs and/or pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in a primary school;
  • Have attended further training on aspects of the curriculum or areas of specific special need.
  • Have good level of knowledge and understanding of at least one area of learning (eg English, maths, science).
  • Understand school’s policies and how they relate to local and national frameworks/policies (eg child protection, health and safety, equal opportunities, SEN).
  • Can use ICT effectively to support learning and use other technology equipment.
  • Can plan own work when required.
  • Can transfer theory/training into practice.
  • Can solve problems and can exercise initiative and independent action.
  • Is pro-active in offering ideas.

Administrative Assistant

 

20 hours per week – Monday to Thursday (8.20 – 13.50)

 

Flexibility of start and finish times and whether the role can be worked over 3, 4, or 5 days may be considered for the right applicant.

Salary Scale NJC 4-5 (Band D) FTE £23,114 - £23,500

 

The Arden Forest C of E MAT is seeking to employ an outstanding and highly motivated Administrative Assistant to join our enthusiastic, friendly and dedicated team at St Nicholas C of E Primary School, Alcester.

 

You will be working as part of a small, friendly administrative team where no two days are the same. Working closely with our Head of School, Office Manager and the MAT Central Team, the successful candidate will be an enthusiastic quick learner with excellent communication, and administrative skills.  They should be able to work independently whilst at the same time forming effective relationships with stakeholders.  Experience in an administrative role and knowledge of school administrative procedures would be an advantage, however training will be given.
