Rise is Coventry and Warwickshire's CAHMS service. It is a family of NHS-led services providing emotional wellbeing and mental health services for children and young people in Coventry and Warwickshire.

Rise aims to build resilience and empower children and young people (as well as the adults in their lives) to know where to go for help and advice. It’s made up of a number of different services, each led by mental health specialists.

RISE ServiceInformation
Dimensions

The Dimensions of Health and Wellbeing is a free online tool providing self-care information to support adults, children and young people in Coventry and Warwickshire.

You can rate yourself or another person against a number of dimensions related to health and wellbeing.

The Dimensions tool is available 24/7 and creates a Dimensions report which provides information about self-care, local services and support.

Mental Heath in Schools Team

MHST support young people who are experiencing low mood and a range of anxiety difficulties.

Primary Mental Health Team

The Primary Mental Health service gives general advice, guidance, consultation and  group training for those who work with children, such as school-linked professionals or social care roles.

They help children and young people who may be displaying signs of emotional distress and emerging mental health difficulties, by working with those around the child, such as teachers, in order to put in place plans to manage issues and stop them becoming more serious.

Targeted Emotional and Mental Health Support

Compass Shine is an early intervention and prevention service that provides support to children and young people experiencing mild or mild/moderate emotional health difficulties aged from 5 to 18 years, and up to 25 years, if they have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) or are a care leaver.

We also support parents, carers and professionals who are worried about a child or young person’s emotional wellbeing.

Looked After Children (LAC)

The service is an integrated mental health service for Looked After Children (LAC) or Children Looked After (CLA). In Coventry our service is called 'Rise CLA (MH) Team Coventry' and in Warwickshire it is called 'Warwickshire CLA Team'.

Eating Disorders

The service aim is to work in collaboration with children, young people and their families or carers to offer specialist assessment and treatment provision in order to restore both physical and psychological wellbeing.

Neurodevelopmental Service

The Neurodevelopmental Service within Rise was created to support neurodivergent children and young people and their families. We provide diagnostic assessment for autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

There is useful information and resources on our webpages, which may be helpful in supporting children and young people as well as signposting information to local and national support.

Crisis and Home Treatment Team

The Rise Crisis & Home Treatment team (Coventry & Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust) provide multi-disciplinary support to children and young people (under 18 Years Old) who present in mental health crisis.

We assess those who are:

  • At an immediate and significant risk to self or others due to their mental health
  • Being considered for admission to a mental health inpatient unit
  • At risk of immediate and significant self-harm
