And every family left with a goodie bag of resources to help their child’s learning at home.

We are so grateful to our staff for all the hard work and preparation that went into making the evening such a success , and to our families for joining us with such enthusiasm and positivity.

  • Rocks

Fri 12 Sep 2025 Laura Newell

🌍🪨 Year 3 kicked off their new science topic on Rocks with a fantastic visit from Dr Dale!

The children explored the three main types of rock – sedimentary, metamorphic and igneous – through hands-on investigations. They built their own pieces of a prehistoric riverbed (where dinosaurs may have become fossils!) and even acted out what it’s like to be volcanic magma erupting. 🔥🌋

A brilliant, engaging start to our science learning! ✨
